I have a particular interest in Emotional Intelligence and believe that developing the skills to manage oneself and others more effectively maximises our influence as a leader.
I am certified to use the RocheMartin Emotional Capital Report tool to assess key emotional intelligence skills and interpret leadership potential. The ECR reports provide narrative descriptions of the leadership behaviours associated with Emotional Intelligence competencies, as well as strategies for developing emotional intelligence, and an action plan to build leadership abilities.

The coaching process is bespoke. My role is to encourage clients to develop self-awareness and responsibility, with a particular focus on emotional intelligence. Clients commend my empathetic and pragmatic approach, and value my ability to get to the heart of the matter quickly and sensitively. I aim to create an environment in which the client can challenge their thinking, and to stimulate new ideas and approaches through intelligent debate. My sessions are practical; we will look to close the gap between personal insights and their day-to-day application, thus enabling the client to improve their decision-making, communication and influencing skills.

The coaching gave me a huge understanding of who I am, most people (successful or on a career path) will have an understanding of their key strengths. It enabled me to look at my weaker points and how I could seek to improve them. Edwina was a great sounding board; my industry is quite specialised, and I found myself being able to converse openly with her and always had engaging discussions.
An inspiring process and exceptionally supportive. I’d recommend Edwina without hesitation. She helped me reconnect with my inner coach and think especially about how I can help my direct report and wider team members grow both professionally and personally.
Edwina instantly made me feel comfortable in discussing my career goals and openly discussing my challenges. She was greatly helpful in bringing structure to these, allowing me to create an actionable and achievable plan, and giving me the tools to constructively approach any future challenges or opportunities myself.
Edwina’s coaching was particularly beneficial as I needed insight into whether to continue in my current role or move. Edwina helped me zone out of the detail and review my position. Further, she assisted me to come up with a plan of action in order to tackle more immediate blocks in my daily role. In one moment, it became crystal clear to me that I was in the right place (role) at the right time (organisation) – that clarity was particularly powerful and has reignited my passion for my work.
The coaching process is very supportive, yet Edwina has the skill to cut through to the real problem, and I’d often think back on our sessions afterwards and take even more from them than I got on the day. I’d highly recommend Edwina for anyone returning to work after a break, starting a challenging role or just trying to balance work/family life.
I really valued Edwina’s enthusiasm for bringing multiple perspectives to my work through the use of a structured series of coaching tools. These helped me identify concrete ways to improve my performance and then put them into action.
